For the Performance Art festival in Reillanne (F) on Sunday 18. September 2022, organised by Maria Estevens at Labo Novo, this performance uses the colours of the Ukrainian flag to create the image of a person literally torn between his attachment to Europe and his history with Russia. I ask the audience to melt 12 candles on my body (in reference to the 12 stars of the European flag) positioned around the torment, which lasts until I am completely detached.
